Eva L. Hornburg
(Nee Scheels)

Passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the age of 98. She was born in Rome, WI, the daughter of the late William and Adelheit (Nee Backus) Scheels. Eva was raised in Sullivan, WI, and graduated from Jefferson High School. She married the late Allan H. Hornburg in 1949. Eva got her Registered Nurses Degree from Mt. Sinai Hospital, downtown Milwaukee and retired in 1979 as the Director of in-service at New Berlin Memorial. She enjoyed growing roses at her home. Eva was a very independent person, and a "High Roller" in Las Vegas, where her and Allan lived for many years. She looked forward to having friends and family visit to "Win Big".

Eva is survived by her son Mark (Connie) Hornburg; grandsons Brad (Erica), and Brian (Heather) Hornburg; great-grandchildren Mason, Brooks, and Ava; other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Allan; daughter Beth Klinkosh, and Five siblings.

Eva requested that no formal services be held.

The family would like to thank Cedar Community and Staff for the care and compassion they gave to Eva. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cedar Community in Eva's name would be appreciated.
