Ethel E. Carter

Of West Bend, WI, passed away on December 7, 2023, at the age of 86. Ethel was born on July 28, 1937, in Milwaukee Wisconsin to the late Milton and Malinda (nee Bretschneider) Zautcke. She was united in marriage on September 18, 1954, to Walter Carter at St. John EV. Lutheran Church in West Bend.Ethel was employed at Door Electric in Cedarburg, WI, West Bend Mutal Insurance, and Fay's Resturant in West Bend. After her employment, she made the desison to become a homemaker and rasie her nine children; Jack (Cindy) Carter, Curtis (Barbara) Carter, Dale (Sherry) Carter, Bonnie (Kurt) Ullrich, Sharon (Kurt) Mueller, Connie Krukowski, Don Carter, Rick Carter, and Roger (Lisa) Carter. She was blessed with 31 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren which she cherised deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings June (Ivan) Thompson, Doris (Robert) Tock, Allen (Lucille) Zautcke, and Edward (Roseann) Zautcke.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, and trips to the casino. Ethel was a life time member of the VFW Axulliary Post 1393 in West Bend and a life time member of the West Bend Moose Lodge Chapter 732.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
