Obituary
Ernestine "Erna" Josephine Bild (nee Schleiss), age 98, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born on March 13, 1925 in Gurk, Austria to Johann and Amanda (nee Isopp) Schleiss.
Erna enjoyed nature of all kinds, reading, history, music, playing cards, walking, and most of all time with family and friends. Erna was a longtime member of the Baha'i Faith and often enjoyed the chance to talk about it with others.
Erna is survived by her three sons, Ralph (Renee) Bild, Steven (Beth) Bild, and Anton (Jody) Bild, her grandchildren, Tresa Bild, Nick (Marcy) Bild, Leah Bild, Nina Bild (Sam Shaffer), a great grandson Elliot Bild, and a brother Walter (Gerry) Schleiss. She is further survived and will be greatly missed by her special friends Terry and Lisa Pickard.
Erna is preceded in death by her parents Johann and Amanda Schleiss, her mother and father in -law Joseph and Elizabeth Bild, two brothers, Hans and Veit Schleiss, two sisters, Maria and Traudi, and her husband Anton L. Bild,
A Memorial Service will be at 11:30AM on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). Gathering of friends and family will earlier on January 22 nd at the funeral home from 10:00AM until 11:15AM. Immediately following the service will be Interment at Washington County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Cedar Lake Community.
