Elma Anna Faber, "Toots" (nee Gerlach), age 83, of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Elma was born on May 21, 1932, to Walter and Vita (nee Grotelueschen) Gerlach and married William G. Faber on July 15, 1950.
Elma will be sadly missed by her husband, William "Bill," of 65 years; her children, William (Tammy) Faber, Jewel (Donald) Ehlke and Holly (Timothy) Steldt; six grandchildren, Kelly (Greg) Bennett, Shawn (Trisha) Faber, Tammy (Eric) Fabitz, Jamie (Alexandra) Ehlke, Courtney (Nathaniel) Weiss and Ashley (Fiancé Travis Rasch) Steldt, and nine great grandchildren, Alicia & Katelyn Bennett, Kora & Kinsley Faber, Emery & Easton Fabitz, and Aubrey, Quinlin & Emileo Ehlke.
Elma is also survived by one brother, Eugene (Sharon) Gerlach; five sisters-in-law, Doris Gerlach, Joyce Gerlach, Jeanice Gerlach, Shirley Klug and June Naumann; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Faber and James (Judy) Faber; and other family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter and Vita Gerlach; her parents-in-law, Milton and Mildred Faber; five brothers, Melvin Gerlach, John Gerlach, Glenn Gerlach, Edwin Gerlach and Raymond Gerlach; one sister, Grace Naumann; three brothers-in-law, Arthur Naumann, LaVern Klug and Edward German; and three sisters-in-law, Sally Gerlach, Mary German and Carol Faber.
Elma loved getting together with her family, had a very special talent for sewing and enjoyed creating many things with her sewing machine, and enjoyed watching the Brewers.
A funeral Service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (777 S. Indiana Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Robert Hein and Pastor John Paustian officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
