Ellen M. Erickson
(nee Moyer)
Passed peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the age of 99. She was born in Seattle Washington, the daughter of Gilbert and Lelia (nee Thorton) Moyer. Ellen married John Leonard Erickson "Leonard" in 1941. She enjoyed playing bingo watching sports on TV and was a bowler on the "Morning Glories Bowling team", in her 80's, Ellen bowled a 200 game. She loved to cook for her family, every Sunday her family would be at her home. Most of all she loved spending time with her entire family.
Ellen is survived by her children John (the late Shirley) Erickson, Wayne (Sue) Erickson, Kenneth Erickson, and Ronald Erickson; grandchildren Josh (Kelly) Erickson, Kristin (Joe) Boldaz, Shawn Erickson, Jacqueline (Bruce) Schmoldt, Renee (Dan) Ramthun, and Kenneth Erickson Jr. She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a twin sister Agnes Clara Metternich, and a great-grandson Zachary Schmoldt.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 3:00PM until 4:45PM, with the Memorial Service at 5:00PM, at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend. Burial will take place on Saturday, October 7, at McKinley Township Cemetery, Cumberland, WI.
