Elizabeth J. Kaap "Lisa" (nee Dubrow), age 54, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born on April 15, 1960, in Milwaukee to Norman and Jane (nee Weimer) Dubrow. Lisa was raised in Jackson and graduated from West Bend West High School in 1978. She met William "Bill" Kaap at Spencer Lake in Waupaca in July 1977, and they married on March 29, 1980, in Brookfield. Lisa was employed as an inserting machine operator at The West Bend Daily News for about 17 years.
Lisa was a very, very devoted mother, wife and grandmother who loved camping and animals. She was extremely smart, having been on the Deans List and in Honor Society and she excelled at Scrabble and Boggle, and no one could beat her. Lisa was a very sweet woman who never had an ill thing to say about anybody. She loved her job at the Daily News. Lisa was a lot of fun and had a goofy personality, she was quiet at first until you got to know her and then she could give you some zingers.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bill; children Alison (Craig) Heimerl, Erin (Josiah) Solberg and Ashley Kaap ; granddaughter Madelyn Kaap; parents Norman and Jane Dubrow; brothers N. David (Kathy) Dubrow and James Dubrow; sister Kathleen (Henry) Schloemer; brother-in-law Leslie Kaap; sisters-in-law Patricia (Phil) Feder, Jacalyn (David) Smith, Pamela (Dan) Daining; and puppy dog Lilo; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her dog Benji.
