Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Faerber) Jahn, age 86, of West Bend (town of Trenton), passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington. Betty was born on October 9, 1929 in Felsonana, Hungary to Henry and Elizabeth (nee Pfaff) Faerber. On September 9, 1950 Betty married John Jahn in Germany.
Betty and John came to Wisconsin in 1952, where they settled in Stone Bank. She was a past member of the Milwaukee Donauschwaben Senior Citizens. Throughout her working years, Betty was employed at Meurer Bakery and Kohl's Department store.
Betty is survived by her son Ed (Lisa) Jahn of Saukville. Proud Oma of grandson Adam Jahn. Betty is further survived by other relatives and friends both here and in Europe. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Jahn and son Norbert Jahn.
A Funeral Service for Betty will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church (623 Congress St, Newburg, WI 53060) with Pastor Kurt Schaser officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on from 2:30 PM until the time of the service at 5:00 PM. Interment will take place on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church or the Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School are appreciated.
