Obituary
Edward Wayne Crites, age 57, of Glenbeulah, WI, formally of Campbellsport, WI, passed away on Sunday, November 16,2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI surrounded by family and friends.
Edward was born in Chicago, Il on December 23,1967 to the late Marvin Wayne and Phebe Charolotte (Nee: Adams) Crites. On August 16, 2018, he was united in marriage to Michelle Kathryn (Nee: Jabkiewicz) Crites at the Tower Heritage Center Museum located in the heart of West Bend, WI. Ed obtained his associate's degree in criminal justice at Moraine Park Technical College of Fond du Lac, WI, however, Ed's true calling and passion was for Construction. He retired from Admundson Insulation Inc. of Kewaskum, WI in 2025 after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis on October 7, 2025.
Ed had a variety of interests including fishing, antiquing, and working on cars. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren the most. If you needed help, he was always willing to lend a hand or even his tools. Fur trade reenactments as a member of XY CO. in Mattoon, WI was something he introduced his children to while they were growing up, teaching them to have respect for nature, the value of hardwork, and to always help others.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Kathryn (Nee: Jabkiewicz) Crites, and his three sons, Jesse Lee Crites (Amanda Denhof), Garrett Edward Anthony Crites (Meredith Galante), and Justin Lee Gadouas. Ed was blessed with two grandchildren before he passed away, Liam Alex Neilson Crites and Leona Briar Crites, as well as five brothers and their families. In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his infant son Michael Joseph Crites.
Funeral services will be held for Ed on Saturday, December 6,2025 at 4:00 P.M. at Phillip Funeral Home in West bend. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M-3:45 p.m. Dinner will be served in Phillip Funeral Home banquet hall immediately following services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Michelle Crites.
