Obituary

Earl William Klippel Jr. age 69, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, with his family at his side.  He was born on November 29, 1954 to Earl Sr. and Audrey (nee Langlois) Klippel.

Earl was an avid outdoorsman, who was very active and a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Trappers Association. He also was a Hunter's Education instructor for over 20 years. His passion was anything to do with the outdoors. He was always there for anyone that wanted to learn, whether it be trapping or hunting, trap shooting or shooting at the range for the first time.

A few of Jr's very notable achievements were:

In 2006, he was the WTA trappers education district coordinator of the year, along with also being the district director for 2006.

In 2007 he won the WTA vice president's award.

Whether it be taking someone trapping for the first time or getting them through hunter's education and helping them to get their first deer, those are memories that anyone who was around him or he taught will remember for their lifetimes.

The WTA and Wisconsin Hunter's education lost someone special. The effect he left on many will never be forgotten by those he touched so much by teaching and being there for them.

Earl was also known to stop by and help neighbors cut their grass or help plow their driveways. He played Santa at many different functions, and even made house calls.

Anyone who knew him, especially in the last 25 years, knew he was synonymous with his 99 red Chevy suburban.

Earl is survived by his sister Marlene (Thomas) Aumann of Colgate; nieces Nicole (Jason) Kroeplin of Butler, Michelle (Christian) Sutter of Richfield, Kate (Josh) Day of Hubertus, and nephew Steve Aumann of Hubertus; Christyle Hewlett, whom he loved like a daughter; great nieces, Emily and Savannah and great nephews, Jason III, Austyn and Grayson; He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, his many aunts, many uncles, other relatives and dear friends and coworkers.

A Celebration of Earl's Life will be held on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to his family.
