Obituary
Dorothy Ann Loecher (nee Merten) Born to Eternity with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born in Adams, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Philip and Leonilla (nee Mullenbach) Merten. She married Alfred Frank Loecher on June 10, 1953, and they moved to Wisconsin in 1956. Alfred passed away on September 6, 2012. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, gardening, volunteering at the Food Pantry and was a Eucharistic Minister at nursing homes and Young at Heart at St. Mary's Barton.
Dorothy was a wonderful and loving mother to Douglas M. (Jody) Loecher, Vivian M. (Keith) Nienow, James P. Loecher, and Kevin J. (Barbara) Loecher. Cherished grandmother of nine and Proud Great-grandmother of fifteen; she is further survived by siblings Marcella Bissen, Bernard (Eline) Merten, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred; infant brother Michael, brothers Mathias, Nathan, and brother-in-law Damien.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 10:00AM until 10:45AM, with a Memorial Service at 11:00AM, at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend. Burial will be private at a later date.
The family asks that donations to honor Dorothy be made to your local food pantry.
