Obituary
Dorothy L. Lieg, (nee Schlessinger), age 89, died December 14, 2019. She was born on July 22, 1930 in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Meltitta (nee Rudolphson) Schlessinger. On May 1, 1954, she was united in marriage to Richard S. Lieg.
Dorothy was a retired employee of the JC Penney Company after 25 years of service. Mom and Dad retired to Alamo, Texas and spent 20 wonderful years together in a retirement community enjoying the weather and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Thomas) Volgmann, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, son Michael Lieg, and sisters and brothers.
A private service will be held
We would like to express a special thanks to the caregivers at Majestic Heights of Hartford for taking such great care of "Dotty", and also to Horizon Home Care Hospice.
