Doris F. Ruch died on December 12, 2017.
Doris, the daughter of Louis and Helga (Hansen) Christensen was born on December 24, 1921 in the town of Maple Valley – Oconto, WI.
She graduated from Hickory Grade School and Suring High School and also attended Vocational School in Green Bay. She worked at Prange's Department Store in the office and at International Harvester as a bookkeeper. Doris also was employed as Secretary of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in West Bend from March, 1969 until her retirement in August, 2002.
On November 25, 1950 she married Roy Ruch at the First Methodist Church in Green Bay. They lived in Oshkosh for the next 10 years until Roy was transferred with his work to West Bend. Roy, who was a meat inspector for the state preceded her in death on September 7, 1974.
Survivors include her two children: Paul (Lori) Ruch and Pamela Herrmann of West Bend; five grandchildren, Christopher (Kathryn) Ruch, Benjamin Ruch, Amber Ruch, Matthew Key, Maggie (Chris) Jensen; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel Elfe, three brothers, Milton, Raymond and Delbert Christensen, her son-in-law Tony Herrmann and brothers and sisters-in-law.
A Funeral Service will be at 12:30 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (1044 S Silverbrook Dr., West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Darin Wiebe presiding. Visitation will be at church Saturday, December 16 from 10:30 AM until the time of the service (12:30 PM).
In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Washington County Humane Society and/or a charity of choice.
