Doris "GiGi" S. Griger, 91, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born on December 31, 1922 in Marinette, WI to Frank and Mary (nee Bowin) and graduated from Marinette High School Class of 1940. She married Rudy Griger on August 23, 1952 and worked at AT&T in Brookfield.

Gigi enjoyed reading, playing Bingo and card games, going to casinos and the Senior Center. She was a devout Catholic and especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving children: Sharon (Bill) Ehr, Pamela (Bill) Niesl, Barry (Lisa) Griger, Ronald (Gail) Griger, and Constance (Don) Taggert; grandchildren: AnneMarie, Paul, Christine, Michael, Stephen, Ashley, Hunter, Tanya, Crystal, Tony, Nick, and Stephanie; great-grandchildren: Danielle, Jacob, Noah, Dashielle, Jared, Samantha, Sawyer, Tess, Kylee, and Kaley. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

GiGi is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudy; brother, Genor and granddaughter, Cindy.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095). The visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, September 5th from 4:00 PM until the time of Service at 6:00 PM. Interment will take place at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee on Monday, September 8th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
