Doris "Nana" Anna Erna Chandler-Bartelt, age 92, went to her eternal home Monday, July 24, 2017 at Serenity Villa in Slinger. She was born on September 23, 1924 to Adolph and Louise (nee Koepke) Rusch. Doris was baptized and confirmed at David Star Lutheran Church in Jackson, WI. She married her first husband, Delwyn Liesener and together they had two children. She then married Kenneth Chandler and he passed away in 1990. She later married Cletus Bartlelt in 2001. Doris loved being a cook at the WELS Seminary in Thiensville. Doris enjoyed being an insurance agent, manager and Director of Special Markets at Banker Life and Casualty Company. She was always active in her church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir.
Doris is survived by her daughter Jeanette (Dennis) Mueller, son Glenn (Joann) Liesener; step-children Geraldine Hildebrandt, Allen Chandler, Bobbie (Mike) Moths; grandchildren Tanya Esser, Tami (Bob) Olson, Craig (Nicki) Liesener, Nickolous (Kate) Liesener, Rachel (Andy) Peterson; great-grandchildren Logan and Addison Esser, Alexa and Brynn Liesener, Ava and Nolan Liesener, Hailey, Leah and Camryn Peterson; sister Ruth (Alvin) Laverenz; sisters-in-law Emily Rusch and Harriett Rathke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Doris is preceded in death by Delwyn Liesener, Kenneth Chandler and Cletus Bartelt, her parents, sister Lucille (Harry) Prochnow, brothers Alan Rusch and Lorenz Rusch and great-grandson Jayden Esser.
A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Crown of Life Lutheran Church (1292 Tally Ho Trail Hubertus, WI (53033) with Pastor Michael Helwig and Pastor Johnold Strey presiding. Visitation will be at church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. Private Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Crown of Life Debt Retirement Fund (1292 Tally Ho Trail Hubertus, WI 53033).
