Donald W. Stevens, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born on October 19, 1938 in Iola, Wisconsin to Llewellyn and Pearl (nee Buttolph) Stevens. Don graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers in 1956. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Leeson Electric in Grafton and after retirement he worked several part-time jobs.
He enjoyed trail riding and raising Texas Longhorns. Don loved rodeos and riding in local speed shows. He was a tough competitor. He was a member of Beaver Creek Saddle Club and Great Northern Texas Longhorn Association.
Don is survived by his wife, Bonnie Liepert; children: Donald (Zina), Michael (Tammy) and Roger; step-daughter Wendy; nine grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Llewellyn (Patricia) Stevens; sisters Jean Krueger and June Wagner; and a brother-in-law Bob Kafka.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Janet Kafka; brothers-in-law Eugene and Ronald Wagner.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 5:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane (N665 Hwy S, Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Rev. Mark Eckert presiding. The Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, October 27th from 1:00 PM until 4:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Humane Society or American Cancer Society (Wisconsin Region, PO Box 902, Pewaukee, WI 53072).
