Donald I. Schneider, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 10, 1935 in Milwaukee to the late John and Hattie (nee Harbicheck). Donald married Lois Prill on June 22, 1957 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, and had a love for animals. Donald loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Donald dedicated over 35 years of service to Briggs & Stratton as an inspector in the key and lock division. After retirement, he was a part-time custodian for over 7 years at St. John's Lutheran Church. Donald was also a member of the West Bend Moose Lodge #1398.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Lois (nee Prill); children, Kathleen Davis, David (Susan) Schneider, Kenneth (Barbara) Schneider, and Mary Jo (Mike) Biersack; and grandchildren, Jason, Chad, and Lindsay Davis, Marinda, Isabella, and Gavin Schneider, Christopher Schneider, and Corey Schneider. He is further survived by his sister, Pearl Schneider, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Donald is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Schneider; daughter, Anne Schneider; parents, John and Hattie; sisters, Mary Anne, Fern, and Evelyn; and brother, Charles.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th Ave in West Bend with Fr. Enrique Hernandez presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 PM until 6:45 PM on Friday, May 24, 2013. Interment will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Washington County Memorial Park.
