A good man now rests in eternal peace.
DONALD "DON" FRED HART, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home on January 14, 2025.
Always steadfast, sincere and unafraid, Don stepped into life on November 12, 1942, the only child of Fred and Loraine Hart (nee Radke).
Don was destined to serve. He was a dedicated City of Milwaukee police officer for 30 years, mentored by his revered and long-standing friend and fellow officer, David Cash.
As a Lifetime Member of Harley Davidson H.O.G., Don served as a Board Member and Road Captain of his Chapter. He delighted in the comradery of riding to faraway places with special friends and building memories of a life well-lived.
Over the years "Captain" Don took great pleasure in arranging numerous group cruises to sun, fun and sand for all people dear to his heart to enjoy.
For over 20 years Don volunteered as Condominium Treasurer repeatedly demonstrating his dependability and willingness to always be of help. Don was a loyal man of great stability, and of a meticulous manner in all things.
Don valued his homelife and family.
As an ever-faithful husband, Don is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Susan, daughter of Alexander and Theresa Krasonya (nee Brumer), his greatest loves beyond measure, son Tim and his partner Sandy, and daughter Holly. He's also survived by beloved relatives Bernice Lybolt (nee Krasonya) and family, Kenneth and Katherine Nowicki (nee Krasonya) and family, along with many forever friends.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Susan's parents, brothers-in-law Jerrold Allen and Gerald Lybolt, nephews Mick and Brad Allen, and other relatives and friends.
Don never enjoyed being in the spotlight, so to honor his wishes, no formal service will be held.
As a man of few words. Don bids farewell, for now, to family and friends who blessed his life with everlasting joy. And he thanks you for riding by his side throughout his life.
Don's family prays for special blessings to his doctors, medical teams and caregivers, who so compassionately brought Don comfort and peace.
God bless everyone, especially Don's brothers in blue.
