Dolores Rita Mayer (nee Neu), age 79, passed away on August 27, 2018 at the Cottages in West Bend. She was born on March 13, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI to Walter and Aurelia (nee Theisen) Neu. She married her love, Francis "Frank" Mayer on October 7, 1961. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, playing the organ, listening to music and making people smile.

Dolores is survived by her husband of 56 years, Frank; children, David (Laura), Trish (Dave) Schoofs, John (Susan); grandchildren, Tom (Cory) Schoofs, Emily (Charlie) Fink, Katelyn and Nathan Mayer; great-grandson, Patrick Schoofs; sisters-in-law Joan Neu, Teri (Greg) Kirst, Marion (Gary) Wendorff and brother-in-law, Ray (Carol) Mayer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Elmer and Dolores K. Mayer, infant sister Shirley, brother Joseph Neu and brother-in-law Gene Mayer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00PM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church (1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, WI). Visitation will be at church on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 1:00PM until the time of Mass at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at St. Borgia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the St. Francis Borgia Church School Fund.
