Dolores L. Kisting, age 93 of West Bend, WI passed away peacefully on March 28,2026 at Serenity Villa in Slinger, WI. Arrangements for cremation are being handled by Phillip Funeral Home – West Bend, WI.
Dolores was born on July 05,1932 in Eastman, WI to Howard and Josephine Kramer.
She spent her childhood years in Eastman and attended high school in Prairie du Chien. She married Robert Kisting on October 20, 1951. The Kistings’ Bob, Dolores, Debbie, Pam, Becky, Todd and Scott lived in Boscobel and owned Niland Ridge Cheese Factory until 1968 when the family relocated to West Bend, WI. While in Boscobel we belonged to Immaculate Conception Church. Dolores was an active member in the Alter Society and Boscobel Public Schools PTA.
She was an artistic and talented lady, crafts, ceramics, cake decorating. Her favorite pastime was her lawn, flowers and she even enjoyed shoveling snow. Mom was a great chef, meals were delicious. Her grandkids especially enjoyed “GiGi’s” chocolate chip cookies! She looked forward to playing the slots at the riverboat in Marquette, IA when spending time at the cottage on the Mississippi River. Of course, she always won big at the casino and never lost, at least that is what she told us!
She was dedicated to her job at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was a phlebotomist for many years. She made many lifelong friends with her coworkers. They kept in touch after retirement with monthly coffee and lunch at Perkins. Special thanks to Rosie who she worked with and her husband Fritz for their frequent phone calls and visits.
Her final years were spent at Serenity Villa Assisted Living. We are grateful for the exceptional care she received and thank everyone that nurtured and shared time with her.
Dolores is survived by her sister Deanie Kieser Prairie du Chien, WI, daughters Deb Jones Oconomowoc, WI, Becca Barlament (Mike) of Palm Harbor, FL, her sons Todd Kisting West Bend, WI and Scott Kisting (Brenda) of Midland, MI. Her grandchildren Steven and Sarah Kisting, Kate and Kara Jones, Rachel and Jeremy Balzer, Whitney, Courtney and Ben Barlament, Eric, Ryan and Mallory Kisting. Six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob and her daughter Pam.
She will forever be with us in our hearts. Love you Mom….
There will be a private family gathering for interment of her ashes at a later date this year.
