Obituary
Diane M Richter (Montie), 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Waterford on September 10th, 2024. She was born on May 31st, 1943, to the late Harry and Alice (Gotz) Montie. She grew up in Gillett, WI, where she met her late husband Paul Richter, they were married in Milwaukee, WI on March 5th, 1970. They eventually settled down in West Bend, WI, on a small hobby farm, where they raised their three children. In addition to raising their children, Diane worked at Kohls Department Store until retirement. After retirement, Diane enjoyed going on trips with her husband, vacationing in Florida during Wisconsin winters, and taking walks with her dog Roscoe. While in Florida, Diane discovered a passion for geology and would often be found exploring beaches, flea markets, going on airboat rides, or to the casino. Back at home, she spent many of her nights playing board games or working on puzzles. Diane is survived by her three children: Kathie (Bobby) Ripple, Robin (Gordy Fell) Richter, and Robert (Lisa) Richter. Her four grandchildren: LeAnn (Erin) Marko, Randi (Will Ratz) Ruppert, McKenna (Nate) Lamberton, and Alex Richter. Her four great-grandchildren: Mckaylah Hetzel, Annabell Hetzel, Dante Ruppert-Ratz, and Damon Ruppert-Ratz. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers Dale and Wayne Montie and her granddaughter Trish Engelhardt.
