Dennis N. Wiebelhaus went to the big deer camp in the sky on November 1, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born to Norbert and Theresa (Unertl) Wiebelhaus on January 28, 1944, and raised in Neosho, WI.
Dennis graduated from Hartford High School in 1963, where he enjoyed playing football. He married Dawn (Duehning) in 1965, and they raised their 4 children in Slinger. While Dennis worked 16 years at Waukesha Engine and 24 years at a Hartford factory that transitioned between WB Company, Chrysler, Bayliner, and Brunswick, he found joy in his 34 years as a WI Game Warden. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with friends, his children, and grandchildren. Dennis appreciated traveling and seeing the country with his family and especially enjoyed his trips to Colorado and Alaska. Dennis also liked watching auto races and hunting shows on tv and making friends with all the dogs in town.
Dennis is survived by Dawn, his wife of 61 years; children Patrick (Dawn) Wiebelhaus, Theresa (John) Rahlf, Yvonne (Eric) Wiebelhaus-Brahm, and Craig (Kimberly) Wiebelhaus; grandchildren Amber (Joseph) Miller, Mitchell Rahlf (partner Kelsie), Brooke (Cole) Rickert, Matthew Wiebelhaus-Brahm, and Samuel Wiebelhaus-Brahm; great-grandchildren Sawyer Miller and Genevieve Rickert; sister Mary (Robert) Duehning; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Richard Wiebelhaus, Donna Uhing, Gerald Wiebelhaus, and Duane Wiebelhaus.
His family is comforted knowing Dennis will forever be able to sit comfortably in his tree stand with unlimited clear shots to as many bucks as he wants. The family extends their thanks to all the first responders and neighbors for their care and support.
Visitation will be held at Phillip Funeral Home in West Bend, WI, on Thursday, November 12th from 3pm-5pm. A short service officiated by Father Rick will be held at 5pm with light refreshments immediately following.
