Obituary

Dennis Ray Giese of Kewaskum, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, May 6, 2016. He was born to Arthur and Hazel (Nee Tonn) Giese on February 22, 1946. He married Kathleen (Nee Seidler) Giese on April 17, 1971 in Milwaukee, WI and together they have 2 children.

Dennis was a wonderful father and grandfather; his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and loved spending time with them. He believed in helping others, especially mentoring the youth, and in that spirit was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for over 10 years. He loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing and taking camping trips with his family. These were special memories for him. He taught himself how to build rustic furniture and in in turn taught countless students how to select and gather the branches and bark in the woods and then build their own furniture. He loved collecting old fishing tackle and proudly displayed his finds for his family and friends to enjoy. He was a proud American who served his country and supported our troops. He was married to Kathleen, the love of his life for 45 years. He will be dearly missed.

Dennis is survived by his wife Kathleen, his sons, Eric (Tracy) and Jason (Jessica) Giese; grandchildren, Xyler, Kaegan, Autumn and Charlotte; brothers, Arthur, Kenneth and Gerald; sisters, Nancy and Joyce; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Hazel; sister, Donna and brother-in-law Terrance.

A Memorial Service will be held at 8PM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI) with Chaplain Bernice Towns presiding. The visitation will be held from 6:00PM until the time of service and resume after the service until 9:00PM.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer you make donations to Operation Finally Home (PO Box 732667, Dallas, TX 75373-2667) to help support our veterans.

A special thank you to the staff at Seasons Hospice, Kraemer Cancer Center and St. Joseph's Hospital for all their care and support.
