Dennis Bastian, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 26, 2015. He was born on June 16, 1951 to Donald and Nancy (nee Fondrie) Bastian. Dennis served in the US Navy and later married Elizabeth (nee Sojak) Bastian on March 11, 1974. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Dennis cherished all the time spent with his grandchildren and family. He retired from MAC Metal Products after 34 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; children: Christopher (Joy) and Amanda; grandchildren: Dawson, Brady, and Miranda Bastian; mother, Nancy Bastian; in-laws Mary and Joseph Sojak; siblings: Dawn (Alan) Stenberg, Debbie (Tom) Timblin, Donna Sobotta; sister-in-law Marianne Sojak; and brother-in-law Joseph Sojak. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Donald and his canine companion, Bud.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of the people who provided support, assistance and understanding to the family.
