Delores Mae Hippe (Schrank), 83, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Crystal Lake, IL following a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Delores was born on June 17, 1934 to Clarence and Magdalena Schrank in Waupaca, WI. Following her high school graduation, Delores worked for the West Bend Company, where in 1957 she met her husband, Ernie Hippe and married on September 27, 1958. After several years devoted to raising their three daughters, Delores returned to college, and while the family resided in Norman, OK, she completed her studies and earned a degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. The family soon returned to West Bend, and she began a long and fulfilling career as a Social Worker for Washington County. Delores also cherished the extensive opportunities she and Ernie had to travel throughout the world as a result of Ernie's long career with the West Bend Company. Upon their retirement, they moved to Lake In The Hills, IL to be nearer to their daughters and grandchildren and enjoy a favorite pastime of playing golf with one another.
Delores is survived by daughters Shelley (Randy) Kolls of Chapel Hill, NC, Alison (Brian) Santoro of Suwanee, GA, and Stacey Carlson of Algonquin, IL; grandchildren Katie Kolls of Alexandria, VA, Karli Kolls of Chapel Hill, NC, Sean and Colin Santoro of Suwanee, GA and Stephanie Carlson of Algonquin, IL.
Funeral services for Delores will be held Saturday, May 5th at 10:30am at The Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI with burial following at the Washington County Memorial Park.
