Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Debra (Debbie) Jo Charles, 67 of Hubertus, WI. Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was born on April 30,1958, the daughter of Joseph and Doris (Newingham) Sleik. Debbie graduated from Custer High School in 1976 and married her husband Dennis in 1977. She is survived by her husband Dennis Charles, her three sisters Sandra (Wayne) Yetman, Terry (Tony) Schmitt, and Susan (Seth) Lubinski, son Justin Charles, daughter Lindsey (Tim) Krauss, and granddaughters Ella and Emersyn Krauss. Preceding her in death are her parents Joseph and Doris Sleik, and her nephew Jason Bautch. Debbie lived a warm life filled with joy. She was known for her infectious laughter and boundless kindness. Debbie touched the lives of everyone she met. Her legacy of love will live on through her family, who will miss her dearly. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. A private service will be held at a later date.
