Dawn E. Krenz (nee Riffel) passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Lomira at the age of 78 years. She was born on May 18, 1939 in Milwaukee to Joseph and Evelyn Riffel and raised in Milwaukee and in Nenno. On April 4, 1959, Dawn married David Krenz at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend and they began their family. Dawn was retired from Sunseed Natural Foods after 17 years as manager, and also worked at Hillcrest Restaurant for many years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards, taking vacations with family, visiting with friends, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Dawn is survived by her two daughters, Natalie (Jeffrey) Kaehler and Cherie Schellinger; her two grandchildren, Amanda and Brandin Schellinger; her siblings, Christ Riffel, King (Mary) Riffel, Lorelei (Kevin) Krogmann, and Gerard "Michael" Riffel; sisters-in-law, Sharon Riffel and Barb Riffel; brothers-in-law Dean (Maren) Krenz and Ralph Krenz; special family/friends Jim and Kathy Morawetz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents; husband David; son-in-law Mark Schellinger; brothers, Edward Riffel, Joseph Riffel, Jr., Clarence Riffel, and John Paul Riffel; sisters, Joy (Downer) Kilby and Faith Riffel; and sister-in-law, Kathy Riffel.
A Memorial Service for Dawn will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday May 10th at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr.) with Rev. James Hill presiding.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until time of service at 6:00 PM.
