Darlene Amelia Vreim (nee Bachmann) was born on May 31, 1932 in Faith, South Dakota to Eileen and Theodore Bachmann. When she was four, the family moved to Summit, South Dakota. She attended a country school and graduated from the Summit High School in 1950. On October 10, 1951, she married Orrin Alton Vreim, a farmer from Wilmot, at the Catholic Church in Waubay. In November of 1958, the Vreim family moved to West Bend, WI where some still reside. Darlene was employed by the Tastee Freeze for over 2 years and by Mills Fleet and Farm for almost 18 years.

She is survived by her husband, Orrin; nine children, Cheryl, Mary (Dennis) Jackson, James (Beth), Michael, Julie (Ralph) Millard, David and Diane (twins), Robert and Lisa (John) Voge; grandchildren, Brian, Katie, Chad, Kelly, Eric, Scott, and Tyler, Missy, Josh, Brenda (Ben) and Katie; great-grandchildren, Shyleen, Emma, Mason, Malachi, Barrett, Quin, Mackenzie, Jordan, and Ana. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents and a baby son who died at birth.

The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Fr. Jerry Brittain presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 18th from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM.
