Daniel "Dan" Carl Johnson, age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Ivy Manor in West Bend. He was born on March 15, 1936 in Faith, South Dakota to Carl and Mary (nee Hansen) Johnson and raised in Wisconsin. On November 23, 1958 he married Shirley Thiemke in Waukegan, IL. Dan served in the US Army & was retired from Staff Electric as an electrician. He was a proud member of Local #494 Electrical Workers Union and former member of the Operating Engineer's Union #139.

Dan enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, collecting guns, and spending time at his lake home on his pontoon boat. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife Shirley, his son Randall (Janet), grandchildren Troy and Brook, 2 sisters-in-law Rose Tomcheck and Diane (Patrick) O'Day, 1 sister-in-law Judy Thiemke, further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Timothy, brothers Elmer (Pauline) Johnson, Clarence (Glenise) Johnson and Leonard (Marion) Johnson, sisters Minnie (Owen) Johnson and Penny (Ivan) Anderson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm on August 22 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Chaplain Rick Boon presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday August 22 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Interment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
