Daniel "Cowboy" Bollig, age 60, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 9, 1953 in Colorado to the late Leonard and Elizabeth (nee Babish) Bollig.

Daniel was an amazing husband, father, brother, musician, artist, furniture builder, carpenter, cook, and friend. He made the best green chili this side of Colorado! God gifted Daniel with an unfaltering honesty that gained him love and respect from all who knew him. His unconditional love and pride in his children taught them the important values and morals in life that will live forever in their hearts, and he will hold them every night in the 100 acre woods. Cowboy touched everyone with his wisdom and profound honesty. God blessed him with golden hands that turned pieces of wood and paper into memories. All who knew Daniel "Cowboy" Bollig are a little smarter, and a little simpler, and feel a love in the core of their heart that has changed them forever. We were the lucky ones!

We live on with the recollection of Dan's words,
"We all become a memory".

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Koslovich); children, Jade, Maggie, Michael, and John; siblings, Terry, Len, Jackie, Barbara, Jeff, and Robyn; and his best little buddy, Tanner. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 6:45 PM with a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend). The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (521 Congress St, Newburg, WI 53090) with Fr. Kevin Kowalske and Fr. Guy Gurath presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
