Dana Lynne (Huenemann) Toraason
With God by her side every day; Dana lived with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for 2 1/2 years, and never let it break her spirit or distract from her focus on her family. Dana passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, on Oct. 6, 2014. Dana was born in Davenport, Iowa on March 18, 1956 and grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. There, she graduated as Salutatorian of the Theodore Roosevelt High School class of 1974, and received her BFA degree in Music Education from Drake University. Later she achieved an MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She married Larry Toraason on Sept. 29, 1988 and they were blessed with a son Erik and twin daughters, Inger and Claire. Dana was employed by John Deere working in Information Systems as a Technical Solutions Architect. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Slinger, Wisconsin. She also thoroughly enjoyed time spent with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus and the Hartford Choir.

She is survived by her husband Larry Toraason (Slinger, WI), children Erik, Inger, and Claire Toraason (all at UW-Madison), sister Jane Tew (West Des Moines, IA), brother Paul Huenemann (Chris) (Cedar Rapids, IA), brother Charlie Huenemann (Jeannine) (Logan, UT), brother-in-law Jerry Parks (Lin) (Burlington, IA), brother-in-law Ron Toraason (Gay) (Walnut Grove, CA), sister-in-law Diane Toraason (Berlin, WI), mother-in-law Lorraine Toraason (West Bend, WI), and stepmother Mary Lou Huenemann (West Bend, WI), as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Vivian Huenemann, as well as her sister Ann (Huenemann) Parks.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 3:00 PM at St. Luke Lutheran Church (4860 Arthur Rd, Slinger, WI 53086).
