Constance “Connie” Diane Hornburg (nee Bruno), age 78, passed away on March 22, 2026 after a brief and sudden illness. She was born on September 4, 1947 to Jerome and Ann (nee Hess) Bruno. Connie enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, shopping with her good friend Karin, and dinners & events with her best friend Cheryl.

Connie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mark; children, Brian & Brad (Erica), grandchildren Mason & Brooks. She is further survived by many, many good friends.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law Allan & Eva Hornburg.

Connie began her career in retailing, including Assistant Buyer of Women’s Dresses and Fabric at Kohl’s Department Stores, where Connie & Mark met in September of 1971. She then went on to manage the Hallmark Store in Downtown Milwaukee. She continued her career as a Commercial Insurance Agent, beginning at the William Stanford Agency, then Sentry Insurance Company in the Milwaukee area, then several other independent agencies in SE Wisconsin.

Connie and Mark enjoyed fishing together and traveling, having visited Hawaii, Brice, Zion and the Grand Canyons, Mount Rushmore, the Sandhill Crane migration on the Platte River and most recently, visiting Las Vegas and the MSG Sphere to see The Eagles in concert.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on June 14,2026 at “Wallers on the Lake”, 2472 Wallace Lake Road, West Bend, WI 53090, from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Hors d’oeuvres, coffee and soda will be served. A “Cash Bar” will also be available.

To honor Connie’s wishes, internment will be held privately.
