Claude P. Schickert, age 94 years of Slinger, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Claude was born on July 19, 1922 in Germantown to Conrad and Kathrine (nee Klumb) Schickert. He served in the US Army in WWII. Claude married Florence (nee Oehler) on January 4, 1947. He enjoyed restoring Model T and Model A cars and was a member of the Model T Club.
Claude is survived by his daughters Connie Stengl and Susan Wittenberg. He is further survived by his grandchildren Tonya (John) McGraw, Julie Jasper, Brandie Wittenberg, Garrett Stengl, Britni (David) Eastin, great-grandchildren Kyle Jasper, Dallis Wittenberg, Brittany and Jason McGraw, Rena Harvey, Samantha Stevenson, Gage Stengl, Chloe, Brooklyn and Mason Eastin, great-great-grandson Aiden Jasper.
A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, July 10 from 12:00 pm until time of service (2:00 pm). In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to West Bend Historical Society.
