Clara Catherine Koenings, age 100, passed away on January 29, 2017 at Hawthorne Manor. She was born on May 15, 1916 in Barton to John P. and Matha Koenings. She was employed at Enger Kress and was a lifelong resident of Barton, serving on their Historical Society for many years.

She enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting in her younger years. Clara loved traveling, gardening and was an avid sheepshead player. She love her Bud Light and martinis on the rocks! Clara was a sweet, loving aunt and Godmother to many.

She is survived by 31 nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Clara is preceded in death by 17 brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 9 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until time of service (6:00 pm). Interment will take place at Old St. Mary's Cemetery, Barton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Parish, Hawthorne Manor, or the charity of your choice.
