Carolyn Lynn "Carol" Dumouchel (née Parker), age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 19th, 2024 at her home in West Bend. She was born on November 18th, 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to George and Glennda (née Foster) Parker.
Carolyn was more than just a mother, grandmother, and wife; she was a force of nature—a woman who left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A Love for Family and Animals:
Carolyn's heart overflowed with love for her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and pet-children (Bentley and Squitter). She cherished every moment spent with them having snacks for her animal friends and when her grandchildren visited, she ensured they were welcomed with treats and toys. Her home was a haven for laughter, tickles, hugs, and shared memories.
A Passion for Nature:
Carolyn found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She loved watching birds from the windows of her house—their delicate wings and melodious songs brought her joy.
Gardening Adventures:
Carolyn and her husband, Tim, embarked on a horticultural journey together. But let's be honest—Carolyn was the true mastermind behind their garden. She'd stand there, hands on her hips, surveying the vegetables and fruits. With a smirk, she'd say, "Tim, you plant 'em—I'll pick 'em!"
The Maestro of Holidays:
Carolyn was the conductor of our family's holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter—you name it—she orchestrated every detail. And when the festivities began, she reveled in the joy of bringing loved ones together and making sure everyone was well fed.
Keeping Tim on His Toes:
Ah, Tim—her partner in crime. Carolyn kept him on his toes, and he loved every moment of it. She'd raise an eyebrow, and he'd know he was in for an adventure. Their banter was legendary, a dance of wit and affection. Tim, you were her rock, and she was your compass.
A Home for All:
But perhaps Carolyn's greatest legacy was her open heart. She welcomed family members in need, offering her home as a refuge. Her generosity knew no bounds. If you needed a place to stay and a warm meal, her love was a shelter—a safe harbor for anyone seeking comfort.
Carol was a beloved figure in the tapestry of our lives, and her legacy is carried on by a loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim Dumouchel; her children, Cristina (Richard) Truchanowicz and Tim (Amy) Smart-Dumouchel; her sister, Elizabeth "Ann" VanScyoc; her cousin, Kathy Fennelly; her son-in-law Eddy Jones, and she leaves a legacy of her 11 grandchildren Cody (Allison) Parker, Alex Shreves, Brianna, Andrew, James and Emily Jones, Colin and Ian Smart-Dumouchel, and Daniel, Grace, and Eleanor Truchanowicz; and 3 great-grandchildren Emma, Charlotte, and Ivy Parker.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, George Parker and Glennda Parker (née Foster); her brothers, George "Robert" Parker Jr. and Gary Parker; her sister, Lorrie "Sue" Parker; and her daughter, Karey Parker.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at the Riverside Park Pavilion (800 Kilbourn Ave, West Bend, WI 53095) on June 26th from 3:00 - 6:00 pm.
Rest in peace, Carol. You will forever be etched in our hearts.
