Carol Wilson (nee McHugh) was born on August 13, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of Mary and Herbert McHugh. Her loving parents instilled in her the ethics of hard work and the core values of honesty and dedication. She attended St. John's Cathedral and Riverside High School, graduating in 1955. She was married on July 21, 1956, to Dr. Rendall Wilson. They established a medical practice in Thiensville, Wisconsin, where she managed the office. She showed great compassion for patients and was always willing to put their needs ahead of her own.
She was on the Home and School Association Board at St. Catherine's Parish in Brown Deer and for a time served as its president.
She got a place on Big Cedar Lake in 1965 and, since that time, this was her favorite place to be and raise children. She loved to be with her grandchildren and hoped to help direct them to a healthy and fulfilling life.
She enjoyed boating and sailing and helped sail in the British and US Virgin Islands in the sailboat "Dreamer," and in the bay of Green Bay and Lake Winnebago in the boat "Illusions." She also loved to golf and play bridge. She and her husband Ray did a lot of traveling in their younger years.
Carol is preceded in death by her son Michael, sister Mary Haider, and three brothers, Herbie, James, and Edward.
She is survived by two children, Dennis Wilson and Susan Crowley, as well as her grandchildren, Lindsey, Jane, Michael Wilson, Steve Crowley, Nicholas Crowley, Danny Crowley, Joseph Crowley, and Amanda Jacobson, and great grandchildren, Lorena Kulbacki, Charlotte Kulbacki, Leo Decent, Ceci Decent, Vivienne Crowley, Maren Crowley, Grace Parish, and Sophia Parish.
A visitation for Carol and her husband Ray will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 9:30am until 10:45am, with a Funeral Mass at 11:00am, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 200 E Washington St, Slinger, WI. Private burial to follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project or St. Peter's Parish in Slinger.
