Billie Maxine Vaughan (Leupold), age 95, passed away on April 2, 2026 at Kathy Hospice. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on June 5, 1930 to William and Marguerite (Tolbert) Leupold. She married her love, Kirk Vaughan on November 23, 1955 and was blessed with 4 children. Billie enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading books, exercising at the “Y”, her Monday trips with the “Old Guy”, playing games with her grandkids, being with family at Christmas Holidays and most of all her Bourbon and Waters.
Billie is survived by her children, Tyson (Mary) Vaughan, Tracey (Fred) Wesstrom, Tamara (James) Rufener, Timmerly (Anthony) Tamborino. Grandchildren, Jason (Jerrica) Vaughan, Brittany (Brandon) Thompson, Kyle and (Victoria) Vaughan, Shannon/Austin Wesstrom, Wyatt (Lexie) Rufener, Quinn Rufener, Bryce Rufener, Brady (Olivia) Tamborino, Lauren Tamborino; Great-grandchildren Julianna/ Jolina/Jordy Vaughan, Kiera/Hailey Thompson, Maxwell Vaughan; siblings-in-law Monica (Nierling) Leupold.
Billie is preceded in death by her husband, Kirk; her parents William and Marguerite Leupold and parents-in-law Kirk P. Vaughan Sr and Beulah Coleman; siblings Richard and Rodger Leupold.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) from 3:00pm until 5:00pm. At 5:15pm her family will share about her amazing 95 years.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Kathy Hospice 3232 Pleasant Valley Road West Bend, Wisconsin 53095.
