Obituary

Betty Agnes (Nee: Van Pelt) Vlasak, age 88, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Eden Vista Assisted Living in Fond du Lac, WI. Betty was born in Glenbeulah, WI on October 27,1937 to the late Lee and Loraine (Nee: Basler) Van Pelt. She graduated from Glenbeulah High School in 1955. On August 24,1957, Betty united in marriage to Frank Vlasak at St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah. Frank preceded Betty in death on March 17, 2018.

Betty found joy in gardening and flowers, and she shared that joy with Eden Vista, where she lovingly watered the flowers for Eden Vista during the summer months. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling with her bowling league, quilting and looked forward to attending Badger Football games as a season ticket holder.

She was a part of various organizations during her life; She was a part of the school PTA, a 4-H Advisor, Christian Women’s group, and the Homemaker’s club of the Slinger area. Betty was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger and would often volunteer at the church school as well as special donation projects.

Betty leaves her cherished memories to her children; Barbara (William) Yochem, Susan Yochem, Dennis Vlasak, Jill Nimmer (Steven) Beres, Kenneth (Melissa) and Sandra (Samuel) Feria. Her grandchildren; Christopher (Melissa) Yochem, Joshua Yochem, Brian Yochem, James Yochem, Madison Vlasak, Danielle Nimmer, Nicholas (Kira) Nimmer, Nathan Nimmer, Sarah Beres (Bob Makowski), Ignacio (Hannah Serwe) and Jack Feria (Sam Nelson). Great grandchildren; Teagan (Kaylee) Yochem, Eli Yochem, Kira Yochem, Lucy Beres, Sam Shelby, Alex Shelby and Li Anderson. She will also be missed by her siblings; Kay (Ronald) Feldmann, Diane (James) Cudworth and brother -in- law; Richard Baumann.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Frank, her parents; Lee and Loraine, sisters; Jean Rolloff (brother-in-law Bert), and Janet Baumann. Son-in- law; Dennis Nimmer, Grandchildren; Matthew Myers, Kayla Vlasak, Brandon Vlasak, niece Sharon Perry and nephew Billy Enders.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Betty on Wednesday, April 15,2026 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:45 A.M. Burial will follow at New St. Peter Cemetery Highway 175 in Slinger, with luncheon to follow.

The family would like to thank the staff at Eden Vista and SSM Health Hospice, both of Fond du Lac, WI. A very special thanks to Father Rick, Amanda, and Brooke for their gentle care of their mother.
