Betty Jane Hansen (nee Bruss), began her journey of life on March 12, 1919 and reached her destination on July 30, 2017 at the age of 98 years. She was born and raised in the Milwaukee area. She married Douglas Hansen on July 4, 1942 and they raised their family in New Berlin. In death, Betty donated her body to the Medical College of Wisconsin, to further help educate medical students and science.
She is survived by her children Kristine (Gregory) Miller, Holly S. Wochos and Mark (Cathleen) Hansen; grandchildren, Craig (Stephanie) Miller, Matthew (Laura) Miller, Derek (Doris) Hansen, and Collin (Leah) Hansen; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Violet Miller, Bryce, Lucy, Audrey, Scarlett Hansen and one expected soon. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Robert (Dolores) Bruss and Calvin (Ruth) Bruss; other relatives and friends.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend). The Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 12th from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Memorial donations to Reformation Lutheran Church, Brookfield or Cornerstone, West Bend would be appreciated.
