Betty J. Bryce (nee Miller), age 90, of West Bend, entered Eternal Life on Monday, August 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Baraboo on September 3, 1923, to Arthur G. and Myrtle I. (nee Henry) Miller. Betty grew up in Baraboo and graduated from Bayview High School in Milwaukee in 1942. She met James E. Bryce in high school, and they married on September 12, 1942. Betty was a homecare giver for several years.
Betty had five children who meant everything in the world to her. She loved being with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Betty enjoyed music and dancing along with travelling to casinos and gambling. Betty loved and belonged to Hope Community Reformed Church.
She is survived by her children: James (Jeanne) Bryce of Greendale, Susan (Donald) Baron of Kewaskum, Cathy (Gordy) Stortz of Hubertus, Craig (Michelle) Bryce of Indiana, and Janis Lopez of West Bend; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Arthur G. (Beverly) Miller, Jr.; brother-in-law Richard (Nancy) Bryce; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband's parents; her beloved husband, Jim, of 50 years; sister, Lois (Len) Hinz and sister-in-law, Dorothy (Al) Dreier.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 5:00 PM at Hope Community Reformed Church (500 Lenora Drive, West Bend). The visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
