Obituary
Benjamin E. Salisbury of Sussex, WI (formally of West Bend) joined his wife and loved ones who have gone before him on Thursday, November 28, 2024, a day of Thanks at the age of 88. Ben was born to Benjamin and Gladys (nee McNair) Salisbury on October 30, 1936, in Hamilton, Ontaria, Canada; where he was raised and met the love of his life Audrey (nee Sovereign). They were united in marriage on November 30, 1957, and shared 65 years together before she passed.
In 1967 Ben and Audrey migrated to Milwaukee, WI, with their three small children in hopes of a better life for their kids. Their hopes and dreams were fulfilled more than they could imagine.
Ben was employed as a Tool and Die maker at Miller Container, where he received many accomplishments and awards. In 1998 he retired after 23 years of service.
Ben was a member of the Elks Organization, Lodge #46 as well as the Lodge of Sorrows. Through the years Ben enjoyed fishing and bowling. He loved to travel with his wife Audrey but most of all he loved his grandchildren.
In 2002 Ben and Audrey moved from Milwaukee to West Bend where they spent the last 21 years.
Ben is survived by his children Chris (significant other Fran Ward) Salisbury of Rubicon, WI, Keith (Denise) Salisbury of Naples, FL, and Julie (Peter) Bauer of Sussex, WI; his grandchildren who were his pride and joy Eric (Julieane) Salisbury of Mayville, WI, Kyle Bauer of Appleton, WI, Lauren Bauer (fiancée) Melanie Planert) of Las Vegas, NV, and Justin (Jenna) Bauer of Mount Pleasant, WI.
Benjamin is preceded in death by his loving wife Audrey; daughter-in-law Diane Salisbury; parents-in-law Gord and Edith Sovereign; sister Joyce Goodale; sister-in-law Joyce Peart; brothers-in-law Gordon Goodale and Bud Peart.
The family will be having a private burial at a later date.
