Barbara E. Striegel (nee Hoefs), age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at The Kathy Hospice. She was born on August 26, 1932, in Milwaukee to George and Catherine (nee Seymour) Hoefs. Barbara was raised in Milwaukee. She married Melvin E. Striegel on November 23, 1953 in Milwaukee where they continued to live until they moved to Saukville in 1967. She later moved to West Bend in 2001.

Barbara was a Girl Scout Leader, 4H Counselor and a clerk a Dun and Bradstreet. She was a member of the Ozaukee County Republican Party and the Port Washington American Legion Auxiliary. Barbara enjoyed horseback riding, bowling, training pets, travelling and her family.

Barbara is survived by her children Robert (Mary T.) Striegel of Waterford, Sandra C. Krauser of Maryland, Paula Roesel of Campbellsport, Robert (Cindy) Elsner of New York and Arthur (Nancy) Elsner of Beaver Dam; grandchildren Daniel, Jonathan, Colton and Heather; nieces; brother-in-law Dale Kalinowski; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, in 1988 by her beloved husband Melvin, and her sister-in-law Janice Kalinowski.
