Obituary
Barbara E. Romano (nee Koester) age 87, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Germantown, Wisconsin. She was born on March 9, 1937 in Stettin, Germany to Otto and Annemarie (nee von Marcard) Koester.
Barbara enjoyed traveling the world, cooking, tending to her many flower beds, laughing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her 3 sons, Peter Romano (Shelley), Frank Romano (Rebecca) and Eric Romano (Helen); grandchildren, Reagan Romano, Rocco Romano, Harry Toomer-Romano, and Amanda Garley.; great-grandson Bennett Garley; siblings Burchard Koester (Elsa), Hajo Koester (Rosemarie), Otto Koester (Lynn), Anne Bandow (Tom), and Margaret Cook (David). She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Harry J Romano, parents Otto and Annemarie Koester, grandson Dustin Garley, brothers Ihno Koester and Friedrich-Carl Koester
A Celebration of Life of family and close friends will be on September 15th from 11:30am until 1:00pm at 4455 Club Drive, Slinger, WI.
