Obituary
Barbara E. LaMere (nee Hokanson) passed into eternal life, joining her heavenly family on Thursday, November 21, 2019.
Barbara was born on June 17, 1932 in Ogema, WI to Fred and Hulda (nee Larson) Hokanson. She was a graduate of Westboro High School and later chose banking as her career. After raising her family, Barbara continued to find fulfillment working until she was 80 years old at Tri-City Bank of Brown Deer. Barbara was an avid reader and enjoyed word puzzles and flower gardening. She was a dear and caring friend to many.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lloyd, children Lane L. and Lynn L., nieces Susan (Nelson) Kreid, Karen (Nelson) Eastman, Sally Nelson, Gail (Nelson) Foos. She is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Edyth Nelson and Genevieve Luedke, brother John P. Hokanson.
Private services will be held with a private Inurnment at Southern WI Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
A Special Thank You for the care given by Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care and Ellen's Home where she struggled with complications of dementia.
