Barbara J. Feil (nee Guse), 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. She was born on December 8, 1935 to Elmer and Irene Guse (nee Zeunert). She led an interesting life as a missionary in Japan for 11 years, a special education teacher, and La Llama North owner. She was a member of Arbutus Lutheran Church, St. Mary's Bible Study, Bridge Club, and the Bearly of Age Red Hatters.
Barbara will be remembered for her energy and spirit, her quick smile and hearty laugh. She made God part of her daily life and was generous to a fault. She enjoyed the outdoors, her swims in Lily Lake, watching the birds outside her window, and walking up Lily Lake Lane to pick wild flowers or blackberries. She loved her knitting and needlework, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing sheepshead with family and watching her beloved Brewers. Her cookie jar was always well stocked. She was a fun and loving mother and grandmother, beloved sister and dear friend to many. She did nothing half-way but had a boundless energy for life.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Noel; children: Stefan (Stacey) Jenny, Christopher Jenny, Lisa (Jaime) Gonzalez, and David Jenny; stepchildren: Eric (Julie) Feil, Shane Feil; grandchildren: Amanda and David Gonzalez and Amelia Jenny; step-grandchildren: Halley, Justin, Jacob Feil; siblings: Ellene Guse Deets, Robert (Marcia) Guse, Paul (Eilene) Guse; and many other dear extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rudolph Jenny; step-son, Joel Feil, brother-in-law, Richard Deets.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14th at 4:00 pm at Advent Lutheran Church (W63 N642 Washington Ave, Cedarburg, WI 53012). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Barb may be made to Mr. Bob's Under the Bridge c/o Advent Lutheran Church an outreach program dedicated to helping the homeless in the greater Milwaukee area.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Horizon Hospice Care, Langlade Cancer Center, and St. Mary's Hospital & Cancer Center in Rhinelander.
As Barb would say: God is good!
