Obituary

Audrey L. Brandt (nee Graack) found lasting peace surrounded by members of her family at age 93 on January 25, 2024 at her residence in West Bend. Beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" L. Brandt for over 70 years. Loving mother of Kenneth (Janice), Russell (Linda), Allen (Karol), Robert (Pamela) and Julie (Michael Szemborski). Proud and loving grandmother of Aaron J (Stacey), Leslie (Andrew Barry), Christian A, Kyle A (Amber), Joanna K. (Ryan Woolwine), Justin M. (Dayna), Lauren (Jonathan Komp), Adam J. (Marissa), Sean M. Szemborski (Anna), Christie M. (Andrew Gregorcich), Eric R. (Olivia), Kelly J. (Victor Poss), Elise P. and 22 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her mother Alice (nee Behrens), stepfather, Allen S. Haskins, father Walter A. Graack, stepmother Ida Graack (nee Bach), and two grandsons.

Audrey was born in Milwaukee February 24, 1930. Graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in June 1948. She took music vocal lessons for four years from Gloria Rodriguez at the Wisconsin College of Music, and sang with the Victory Singers, later known as the Romany Singers. Audrey was employed as a bookkeeper at M&I Bank and as a cashier at T.A. Chapman Department Store. She married the love of her life, Robert on August 19, 1950 at Washington Park Lutheran Church and became a loving and devoted homemaker for their family. After moving to Hartford in 1956, she sang solos for weddings and funerals, and also sang in the Redeemer Lutheran Church Choir and Hartford Community Chorus. While living in Hartford, she was a member of the Delphian Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with her growing family. She also enjoyed an active social life with dinner and dance clubs. She caught her share of big fish with Bob when they made their home at the Knights Templar Club and enjoyed swimming in Duck Lake. After moving to Cedar Ridge in West Bend in 2001, she continued with reading, doing crossword puzzles, X-box bowling and playing cards: Bridge and 500.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00am until the 11:30am Memorial Service at The Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend. Inurnment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Cedar Bay West Assisting Living Facility and Horizon Hospice for their loving care.
