Anthony A. Geib "Butch", age 92, of Newburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2015. He was born on October 9, 1923, to Bernard and Helen (Nee Laufer) Geib. Butch was raised in West Bend and attended Holy Trinity School in Newburg. He was united in marriage to Virginia R. Fay on November 24, 1945 at St. Rose of Lima in Fredonia.
Butch liked to travel with Virginia in their motorhome throughout the United States. He enjoyed going to casinos in Wisconsin and Michigan. Butch also liked to fish. He was formerly employed at Harnischfeger Homes, Port Washington and later Modern Equipment, Port Washington. He had a great love for his dog, Coco.
Butch is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia; children James (Judy) Geib of Cascade, Thomas (Lynne) Geib of Menomonie MI and Marge Geib (special friend, Jerry Kuhaupt) of West Bend; grandchildren Lynn (Jared) Weber, Amy (Russ) Warnock, Paul (Beth) Geib, Andrew Geib, Bonnie (fiancé, Ron KIemmel) Aman, Nancy (Brian) Jordan and Steven (Kimberly) Gonnering; great-grandchildren Courtney, Clayton, Calvin, Zachary, Hunter, Jacob, Annabelle, Anthony, Adam, Blake and Carter; sister-in-law Anita Geib; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: daughter Laverne; great-grandson Justin; siblings Amanda (Tony) Hoffer, Lester (Stella) Geib, Marcella (Joe) Rychtik, William (Florence) Geib, Margaret (Ruben) Fahney, Leroy (Diane) Geib and Robert Geib; brother-in-law Vernon Fay and his wife Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (521 Congress St.), Newburg with Father Kevin Kowalske presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 3:30pm until the time of the Mass. Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
