Ann L. Becker "Anna Lou" (nee Schwamb), age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017. She was born on October 19, 1927 in Slinger to Rudolph and Anna (nee Weiss) Schwamb and graduated from Slinger High School Class of 1945. She married Allen on November 6, 1948 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Anna Lou was a lifelong teacher who loved her students and her profession. She also enjoyed traveling and above all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Parish and was very involved with many committees and ministries throughout the years, most recently the Bereavement Committee.
She is survived by her loving children, Mark (Sue), Beth (David) Olsen, Sue Becker, Anne (Mark) Uecker; cherished grandchildren, Fritz, Andy (Megan) Becker, Michael Vlasak, Anna Uecker; adored great-grandchildren, Christina, Jaxon, and Ezra. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Anna Lou is preceded in death by her devoted husband Allen, parents; brothers, Wilbur and Anthony; sisters, Laura Rothenbach and Camille Prondzinski.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 12:00 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church (200 E Washington St, Slinger, WI 53086) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. The Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, April 7th from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Interment will follow at (new) St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter Parish (208 E Washington St, Slinger, WI 53086), or the Slinger High School Honours Allen and Anna Lou Becker Scholarship Fund (209 Polk Street, Slinger, WI 53086).
