Angelic Sworske, forever 26, died Friday, May 10, 2024, of an overdose. We would not say it was a sudden death because we watched her suffer over the last 10 years from the disease of addiction.
Addiction doesn't discriminate it will take hold and destroy anyone in its path. This disease is cunning, baffling and has a powerful grip with no rhyme or reason for falling victim to it.
Angelic's fight for recovery was long and hard and we did witness good moments which we saw and felt the pure loving soul of Angelic. She came shining through with her big love for everyone she encountered. She always made sure to show how much she cared and loved friends and family with a special Angelic touch whether it was with a well thought out gift or simply bringing your favorite something. She gave with her whole heart and soul.
Angelic had a big personality and was never afraid to speak her mind about anything just like her mom. She had a contagious laugh and a welcoming smile. She always gave 110% to everyone in her life no matter if she just met them or had known them forever.
Angelic known as "Boo Boo" left her mark on everyone that had the opportunity to be in her presence and create a long-lasting memory with her. Please hold on to those memories and share them to keep her spirit alive.
Angelic was not perfect, but we all loved her despite her flaws. Angelic was loved unconditionally by many who will continue to cherish the time and memories they shared with her. So, we ask please remember to tell those that are suffering that you love them because you never know when it is the last time.
Angelic is survived by her mother Lisa Winkels (Paul Vitale), father James Sworske Jr., grandmother Laurie Winkels, significant other August Zywicki, sister Trena Hambly, uncle Matthew Winkels (Samantha) and nephew Jackson Winkels, great grandmother Shirley Pirelli, special friend Katrina Hagen and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Angelic is preceded in death by grandfathers Peter Winkels and James Sworske Sr, grandparents Margo and Al Winkels and Richard Pirelli, aunt Rebecca Winkels, uncle Shawn Sworske and great aunt Paticia Winkels.
In honor of Angelic's life my family wants to encourage and ask to spread awareness regarding addiction and mental health. We ask that you educate yourself and others about addiction. Nobody wants to be an addict please help stop the shame and stigma of addiction.
Please No matter how much time passes always remember that a simple message to check on someone can carry them through that dark moment to help to continue to fight.
A Celebration of Angelic's life will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Phillip Funeral Home at 1420 West Paradise Dr, West Bend, WI. Please bring memories and stories to share. To all that have given their love and support to both Angelic, her family, we thank you.
