Angele Bruendl (nee Lanssens, formerly Taylor), age 90, died July 21, 2014, at Kathy Hospice after a short illness. Angele was born on September 13, 1923 in Belgium, Europe and was one of 19 children. After WWII, she came to West Bend with her husband, Everette Taylor where they raised five children: Nora (Donald) Backhaus and Cora Taylor, both of West Bend, Vivian (Howard) Dehn of Eagle River, Lillian (Dennis) Seitz of Omro and Mark Taylor of West Bend. Angele later married Viol Bruendl of West Bend who died in 1977.
She worked for West Bend Company for 38 years. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Angele also loved watching birds, hunting, fishing, sewing, listening to music, cooking, traveling, dancing, and doing crafts.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren: Dale and Linda (Joe Jeske) Backhaus, Tammy (Tim) Schladweiler, Theresa (Phil) Burnette, Christina Christenson, Jared (Missy) Ramthun, Howie and Eugene Dehn, Candy (Lance) Loppnow, and John Seitz; great-grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jacob, Jesse, Matthew, Daniel (fiancée Abbie Bunk), Adam, Tasha, Krista, Jayme, Danielle, Andy, Charlie, Timmy, Anaiya, Cassandra, Cody, Tyler, Angele and Alexis; great-great-granddaughter, Temperance; nine siblings that remain in Belgium, Europe; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by parents, Elisa and Isdoor; two husbands; daughter Vivian; granddaughter Bonnie; and nine siblings.
The Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend). The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 24th at 11:00 AM.
