Alyce Agnes Nelson (nee Kramer) of West Bend, WI, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2018, after a short stay at The Kathy Hospice, following a fall. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. She was born on August 28, 1922 in Hubbell, MI. Alyce was a 1940 graduate of Lake Linden High School, in Lake Linden, MI. She moved from Upper Michigan to West Bend in 1963 and worked for Washington County Hospital then Washington County Social Services from 1963 until till her retirement in 1987. Alyce was a long standing member of Calvary Church in West Bend and more recently Kewaskum House of Prayer. She was a godly mother and very involved in all aspects of the church. She enjoyed family visits, playing the piano, her frequent lunches at Taco Bell and watching her daily game shows.
Alyce was the beloved mother of Jane (Lee) Harmon of West Bend, WI, Barbara (Dick) Harmon of Laurel, MT, John "Jack" (Rose) Petitte of West Bend, WI, Joanie (Joe) Brath of West Bend, WI, Ilona "Nona" Justinger of Kewaskum, WI, Arlene (Larry) Dilley of Oxford, MS, Arnie John "AJ" Anderson, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI, Peter (Carol) Anderson of Slinger, WI, Byron (Angie) Anderson of West Allis, WI; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren plus one on the way. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, John A. Petitte, Arnie J. Anderson, Sr. and Otto F. Nelson, three brothers, Jim, Ed, and Raymond Kramer, one sister, Jane Marcotte, and two stepbrothers, Russell and Bob Smith.
A Funeral Service will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 4:00 PM until the time of the Service (6:00 PM). Interment will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Washington County Memorial Park.
